When I looked up Ace Attorney, I learned that the guys have weird hair, odd clothes(Miles does anyway), and some fans like seeing them sex each other up. Nope, never played these. :D Miles' collar bothered me though. I thought: "He could fly with that thing." And so he does. Then he becomes a pest. Yep.

Pure - Yolanti is snoozing on the job. Hihaye is not pleased.
Momo- This didn't come out right. I think you can kind of tell what's going on, but it's just so jumbled up. 8D I should do a proper Belle picture; she's purdy.
Dubie- Du wanted a Weeping Angel(from Doctor Who). Look that up; I'm not explaining. 8D Then she said to draw it stalking a character who is eating a Snickers bar. Well, I was going to do one of her OCs, but I drew Du instead. (based on her avatar pic I found on dA)
I did this all from memory, as you can probably can tell. 8D Yeah, that's weird Doc and Amy in the last panel.
Sakky- Hooray for bad puns! I totes cheated on this one. The outfit is complicated. And before anyone yells at me about my designs, I have an excuse. I couldn't tell what was going on in the ref. 8D *hide* I want to do a proper picture of Bobbin though, a bigger one so that the detail can be clearer.

Awww, c'mon! Miles is plenty sexy with that forever pout on his face! (And I had quite a laugh at his NOM face and his cravat flying into his face. XDDDD) I didn't tell you about the BGL (Big Gay Lawyers) phenomenon because a.) I was happy just with Edgey (yet you went the extra mile and added some funny Nick hi-jinx! <3 I like how the two rub each other the wrong way in the games... not like that!!! XD) and b.) I knew you preferred yuri to yaoi, right? (Though seeing them flirt as drag queens would be interesting and hilarious at the same time...)

I like both yaoi and yuri. I draw the girl version more often since it's easier and ladies are nicer to look at.

Angels don't eat "real" food, but rather energy. So I don't think having a already-bitten-into candy bar stuck in its mouth is very appetizing. And don't say "poor thing." Those THINGS are nasty. The episodes they appear in can make a person paranoid. >.> <.< O_O

ReplyDeleteI guess the Miles thing would be funnier to me if I were familiar with the games. >.> I'll have to check them out. I'm really only familiar with Phoenix Wright through parody. I remember how someone created an animation where Phoenix literally threw books at people; I found it to be amusing. I don't know where I saw it though since it's been years.
Glad people like the Doctor Who thingy. I'm new to the series, so I can't make fun of it(correctly) too much just yet. :P

ReplyDeleteFunny, I googled Miles Edgeworth and I didn't come up with BGL pics... safesearch? Though I admit I have looked at Phoenix x Edgey pics... it was actually the fanart that convinced me to buy the games! But it wasn't the yaoi that I liked, but how the characters were portrayed. And Edgey was so grumpy in all the pictures. XDD (Though if you think Nick -Yeah, Nick is short for Phoenix- and Edgey sound like a funny pair, you should see Edgey with Detective Gumshoe/Gummy! XD)
Hedwig is exactly why I thought of them as drag queens. XD Yes, I'll try it! I was actually kinda hoping you'd ask~! XD (It would be more likely that Hedwig would be wrongly prosecuted for steeling Gnosis' music. Then Phoenix would defend her and then through evidence Gnosis would be found guilty instead and have an epicly funny mental breakdown scene. That's how these games work, except every crime is a murder. So Hedwig is wrongly accused of murdering Gnosis and maybe a random character is the real culprit? O: )
And if you have a DS or Wii, I highly recommend the games! If you don't, there are Phoenix Wright comics, a musical (performed by an all female troupe), and a movie out in Japan next year. And of course plenty of fanworks, whether it's art and comics, or parody videos. It's not just the games themselves that are entertaining, but the characters, which I think is responsible for the success of the franchise. I'm still waiting for them to announce a television series, animated or live action, because I think it would work well as a crime drama/comedy for those that don't wish to or can't purchase the game.
I agree yuri is prettier. But I like yaoi that makes fun of itself. XD (Though I should use the terms shojo-ai and shonen-ai, since I tend to avoid the explicit stuff unless I'm desperate to see two characters drawn together.)
I can find creepy things cute... those poor Angels just need a pretty dress to lighten their mood. Or make them more frightening. :p

Oh god, thanks for the image of Weeping Angels in sun dresses. ._.; It gave me an idea for a comic. ACK! Do you remember the manatees and jaguars that people decorated and placed around Jacksonville? I had the stupid thought of people finding the Angels and decorating them like that, and the problems that would pop up from encountering Them. If you're interested in learning those problems, watch Doctor Who eps "Blink," "The Time of Angels," and "Flesh and Stone." It would be funny. (To me, anyway)

Yup, Gummy is Edgey's bitch. >:3 Oh, speaking of Edgey pairings... Oldbag goes hilarious with him, too. She's this frisky old lady that's always hitting on him, yet she's old enough to possibly be his grandmother (and he's in his mid to late twenties in the games(!), aside from the occasional flashbacks to explain why he's so messed up.)
I think I may have seen that website before, but I don't go there nowadays. Phoenix Wright yaoi is oftentimes funny, but if it's actual yaoi, it might not be worth it for me to frequent the galleries.

People have uploaded cases onto Youtube, too, so if you don't mind reading an interactive point and click novel through streaming video, you could read the stories without any shady downloads (you'll just lose the ability to try to figure out the cases on your own. D: )
As for the comics, I actually haven't read the official comics yet. There is a "Casebook" which is a collection of stories by different artists that I still mean to buy sometime. And... just this week, the official comics that are case-based came out. (These releases should be found at places like BaM and such!) So I definitely need to get that! I'll tell you which ones are good when I read them, if you want. ^^

The movie could be right up your alley, because it is being directed by Takashi Miike, who is known for really gory movies but also does family comedies also. So I have a feeling it will have both the seriousness of murder along with heartfelt scenes, but also the variety of dry, slapstick, and referential humor of the games. XD
