Oh, Shut Up, Sookie

I'm watching the last available episode of True Blood. The series had its moments, but overall, I found it a bit dull. It was amusing to see southern supernatural creatures, but I wasn't completely charmed by the story arcs. I like some of the characters but the overall plots are a bit "meh" for me. I don't know if I'll follow S5 this year.
Sorry, TB fans. It just wasn't for me. (But I did squee when I saw Bernadette from The Big Bang Theory, Gorney from Where the Heart Is, and Irene Adler from BBC!Sherlock. Too bad they all had short appearances, but I do admit that "Irene"'s death was pretty lulzy.)

No new art stuff yet. I'm working/about to work on it, but I'm a busy bee at the moment. I'll be commenting on people's blogs and replying to comments on mine later on. <3

For my next series, I'm doing more of the goddesses. I'm still going to make my "darker" Encounters series, but staying with the goddesses for this class will be easier on me. They're easier to carry back-n-forth and staying with one theme will help me write a better statement since I'll just be yakking about one thing, rather than a subject that is vague/broad. A new goddess list will pop up soon.

For DW fans, a S7 trailer has leaked. You can't hear it well since it was filmed off a screen with a camera, but hey, it's something.

I'll be going to see The Hunger Games soon. It has received generally good reviews, which is uplifting.

See y'all later!

  2. Finally getting around to commenting. I keep getting lazy/busy. D:

    I haven't watched True Blood, but I think I heard of it before (and if I did, the reason why I wasn't interested is because it sounds like one of those teen vampire shows that are all the rage these days. No thanks. XD ) If it's dull, I guess it's not for me. 8D

    Yay, more goddesses! Can't complain about that; I'm looking forward to them. And I'm glad that you haven't tossed out the old ideas, since I'm interested in seeing how those turn out. Just don't bury yourself in a mountain of work and have to chew your way out (like my current situation. XD )

    Amy is back?! No offense to Amy, she's not a bad companion (her sharpness is something I can identify with), but like most of the companions, she's pretty unremarkable. A damsel in distress. I want Captain Jack. I liked him from his first scene in Season 1. He's got more personality than all the other New Who companions combined (Okay, maybe not including Donna because she was awesome, too. But everyone else aside from Donna.) ;_;

    I wouldn't object to Rory's nose being a companion, though, because it is ranked third in personality, after Jack/Donna.

    The Hunger Games... another thing that I've heard of, but I don't know much about. If it wasn't for your recommendations, the only live-action stuff I would be watching is Star Wars, Star Trek and old sitcoms/comedies from the 50's-90's. 8D

    1. I'm still being busy/lazy. 8D I saw how much you've posted, and it makes me giddy. Keep going! And do you mind if I wait until the portfolio presentation is done before I actually sit down and comment on everything? (your art blog, H!P blog, dA, Hellhoney pics in e-mail, etc.) I don't see how 2-3 weeks will make much difference since I'm slow anyway, but in case I disappear, you'll know I'm not trying to avoid/ignore your stuff. >.> (Especially when you comment on everything I babble about).

      TB IS like those "teenage" things, but with more violence and sex. My god, those people fuck too much. It put me to sleep. ._.; I doubt you'd get into it. So don't waste your time. (Like me, who hoped it would get better.)

      I don't really have a "mountain" to do yet(excluding those old To-Do lists, which are in limbo at the moment).
      I just have the goddesses for the class now, but I'm slow. 8D
      So you need to start chewing! :P

      Amy and Rory will be in the first 5 eps, I think. And then they'll be gone. The new companion has already been announced and she'll appear in the Xmas special. She's cute, but I don't know how she'll be a "new, refreshing" change of companion. Can't say much though, since I haven't seen her in action.
      Dunno when Jack will be back. He would have been in "A Good Man Goes To War," but Barrowman was busy at the time (from what I've read). So Moffat must be planning on his reappearance at some point.
      Yeah, don't diss Donna. :P I don't see why she gets so much hate. Sure, she got bitchy, but most of the time, she was realistic and easy to relate to. >.>

      *liked Rory* <.< Especially when the Minotaur put him into a wall. 8D

      Well, I guess I got to you in time. :P You're missing a lot of stuff if you stick to Star Trek and Wars. Have you seen the most recent ST reboot movie? Did you like it? *might see it soon*

    2. Yay, giddiness! (But it's still not all I've intended to post... I'm beating myself up about it. D: ) And of course it's all right if you wait! I appreciate the comments, but I don't want to inconvenience you. (And besides, I've been a bit slow, too. >_< ) I'll just work hard to make sure there's even more for you to look at when you're finished with Portfolio (but rest first! I think after I graduated, I had to rest for a weekend to cool off. XD)

      I wasn't planning on wasting my time on True Blood anyway, unless it got some stellar recommendations that suggested it was different from the impression the name gave.

      After working over ten hours on artworks for other people, all I can do is blow pathetically at my mountain for now. I gotta recharge my batteries. 8D

      I'm glad it's been confirmed there's going to be a new companion. I hope she's better, but I guess a change in monotony is better than the same old monotony. XD And hope you're right about Jack! And that was interesting that he was supposed to be in one of the newer episodes. He would have made it ten times more awesome. ;_;

      (I liked Donna's sass. At least she wasn't going all goo-goo eyes emotional over The Doctor. The sass gave her some balance with him.)

      I liked Rory, too. That's why he's my third favorite companion. I just think of him as the carrier of an awesome nose. 8D

      I'd be missing out on a lot of live-action film and television, I guess. But I'd still be watching cartoons and reading comic books and novels, which I naturally gravitate to. ^^

      If you mean the 2009 version, yeah, I saw it in theaters. It was okay. It's hard to get used to new portrayals of characters you love. ;_; But I'll still totally watch the sequel because of my love for the franchise (and maybe the actors will grow into their roles more/I will get used to their portrayals and I'll appreciate the reboot more?) I wish Q could appear again, though, because he's the most awesome thing in Trek ever (okay, the speculative fiction is a close second...) Even if they CG'd him as a creature so they don't have to show an "aged" Q. Discord on My Little Pony didn't sate my thirst for silly-mode John de Lancie. ;_;
