Mumzy's Day of Musicality

Yeah, I started this REALLY late, but hey, she knows, and is fine with it. :P I need to slim down the muzzle to make it look Arabian and add lots of colorful pansies.
(Picture taken without flash, hence the yellowish haze)

I have stuff sketched, but I got out of the hospital room today and don't feel like scanning right now. 8D (Nothing wrong, just another sleep study. Joy.)
+~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~+
I wanted to try this new thing earlier on, but kept forgetting to write stuff down. I love music, and listen to lots as I'm drawing or working. (And I also watch stuff like Nostalgia Critic to keep myself awake.) From now on, I hope to link to what I have listened to during my "arting" sessions, and share the love. Maybe y'all will find something you like?

Type O-I Don't Wanna Be Me Baaaaaaaaaaaw(speaking of Lady Gaga and "drag")

Hedwig and the Angry Inch- Wig in a Box I don't care if it's a dude dressed as a woman, playing a transgendered person. Hedwig is HOT.
Is there a theme running here? o.O

Within Temptation-The Howling

Latest SNL Ep

Epica- Chasing the Dragon (about drug addiction; quite powerful with that in mind)

Key of Awesome - Heavy Metal Cats (parody of Metallica's "Enter Sandman")

Kamelot- Ghost Opera

*goes to add more links to site* >.> I want it DONE. D:

Random Foxy-ness. She's a weirdo who likes to sunbathe.

  1. So fluffy and fat >3< My dog used to do that too.

I'll have to give a listen to these songs later, due to not having slept for more than 20+ hours XD But that plate looks lovely so far!

    And hospitalwhatwhatareyoukeepingfromuswoman? D:

  2. It's nothing bad. These hospital visits are all just follow-up to the two incidents from last year. <3

Yeah, I want to get rid of the "fat" out of "fat and fluffy." >.> She's not bad, but I'm walking her like crazy.
Did your dog specifically look for sunny spots? When the sun moved, did he/she follow it and lie down? XD Strange canines!

Thanks. :3 *gets paint out again*

And if you think of anything, feel free to recommend new songs. Music is like an addiction. *bites a CD case*

  3. That horse is looking gorgeous so far! I'm curious, what kind of paints do you use to paint a plate?

  4. I had to stare at the picture and think: "What plate?"

Then I realized that I should've mentioned that it's just a round canvas. Nothing exciting. ^^; But to paint dinnerware/ceramics, you have to buy special paints and pens, like these: http://www.dickblick.com/categories/glassdecoration/#glasspaints (or find them at secondhand places like estate sales and thrift stores. Most of my art supplies have come from these places. It's highly recommended for saving money and if you have time to search)

You could try acrylic and oil, if you don't plan to handle the plates much afterward and not heat them (and don't eat off them). I don't think those kinds will be absorbed well enough for the long haul. I haven't experimented much with that sort of thing.

    And thank you. XD

  5. As far as I can remember, she'd stay in the sun. But she'd follow us whenever we were if were close and sleep there if we were going to be a while, shade or sun XD

  6. Ah, well, canvas then. Either way, it's looking awesome. (Can you tell I don't know much about painting? ^^; )

I forgot to mention, your dog is such a cutie!

  7. The painting is coming along really well! It already looks lovely with the tone of the underpaints, but I'll love to see it finished with all the flowers, too! ^^

I really liked that Lady Gaga song. o___o It's like we traveled 25 years into the past. O: The other music was cool, too, probably the only one I disliked was the last video (either because of her vocal technique or the fact she murdered a teddy bear, I don't know which part makes me dislike the song/video more. D: )

Warpaint's beat was very rich and beautiful and the cat song is hilarious (especially the rock rendition of Keyboard Cat. XD) The dude in drag in the video linked below Lady Gaga (are you making fun of my previous comment?! XD) makes a cute schoolgirl. ;p

After watching that SNL video, I'm even more terrified of pregnant women. Particularly hippie preggos. THEY'RE STARING AT ME. O:

Speaking of weird music videos, I thought you might like this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vc8261fJmu8 . ^^

Though, in the future, it would kind of you to restrain the embedding of so much music videos... it kinda almost killed my browser. I have a habit of opening a new tab for every article/blog/etc. I want to check out later, and after having nearly fifty tabs open, I was wondering what was tying up my browser so much... >_> Oh well, still bookmarking this particular post because of epicness. 8D
