Dying For Dethklok

I'm a horrible fan. 8D I remembered that S4 of Metalocalypse starts soon just this Friday. Ah well, I blame the sickness and stress. (And worrying about jobs-I'm seriously looking at a funeral home and Petsmart, since the Humane Society only accepts volunteers. I'll volunteer there once I get a job secured. I love me some animals.)
ANYWAY.
I just saw a clip of s4 and I realized how much I've missed the boys. The best part was the homosexual fanart, which can be seen at the 7 second mark, and dear lord, I actually recognize some of that art! I think it's awesome that series' creators acknowledge the oddball parts of their fandoms and seem to be okay with it (DW and Sherly included), and they love teasing the fans. <3

I'm also excited to see where Jon Schnepp takes his Grimm Fairy Tale series. *grabs popcorn and waits*

  1. I wonder if I could record that without my mom deleting it (she is queen of the DVR)... I got her to record Aquabats for me recently (because Weird Al was on it), even though it was stupid. But then she watched it with me and was like NEVAR AGAIN. XD Does Adult Swim put the episodes online? I remember they did with Death Note, but I haven't followed Adult Swim closely lately. That clip was funny enough to make me want to try watching it again (last time it was hard to tune in when it was on the television.) The obese guy with the burgers criticizing the smokers was hilarious. XD

Good luck on getting one of those jobs! :)

And I think my mom was watching the Grimm series the other day. Does it have monsters that scream and explode eyeballs? o___o

    1. Er, I don't know if you'd want your mom to see it (at least with you in the same room). 8D She may side-eye you afterward. The Adult Swim site does have it, but it's a "gold" episode (whatever that is) and you have to sign in to your provider's site to see it. (Whatever the hell that means). It may pop up elsewhere, or you can catch a repeat of it (It's called "Fanklok."). Since I get my stuff through nefarious means, I don't have to "catch" it. Mwahahaha. *is shot* If you were here, I'd let you borrow my DVDs (LEGAL ONES). But you're not, so...8D *is shot again*

What was so bad about the Aquabats ep that your mum was put off? I really don't watch AS unless it's for something specific (and if I remember).

Was it a live action Grimm? That's on NBC, but I don't remember exploding eyeballs. I may have missed them. >.> The Jon Schnepp Grimm will be animated. He had a Kickstarter project for it recently. :3

    2. That could be hard. She has a habit of popping in to see what I'm watching so she can make fun of it and tell me how stupid my shows are. 8D I also give her foot rubs when watching shows, so she'll be half paying attention and make fun of the shows that way, too. (Pokemon and My Little Pony get even MORE amusing with her jokes... "Gotherita" and "Gentlecolts" are now names and phrases that make us bust up laughing.)

She's pretty cool about content. She already thinks my humor is disgusting and weird, so I doubt Metalocalypse would make her judge me any differently. I'll see if it's a re-run or on the on demand thing our provider comes with. 8D

Aquabats is something you need to see to understand how terribly hilarious it is. Think Pee Wee Herman, Batman, and Electra Woman & Dyna Girl spawning a modern child. It's on the Hub instead of Adult Swim. I think it's great in a "constant giggling throughout the show followed by a 'what did I just watch'" way. It's just too silly for my mom, though. XD

Yeah, it was live-action. I'm interested in something animated, though!

    3. I'm lucky that I have my laptop to watch stuff on. >.> I get irritated when people try to butt in and comment. And lots of things I watch confuses them.
I used to give my mum footrubs, then we rearranged the furniture. So now I'm not close enough and don't have to do it anymore. 8D (I don't get the "Gotherita" and "Gentlecolts" since I don't watch either one. D: )

It's mainly because of the violence (guts 'n gore) that may turn her off, unless you have her watch that kind of stuff too beside the toilet humor. The blood has been piled on this season, but it's still funny. Ugh, I don't want to ruin the end ofFanklok, but it has something to do with that gay fanart and blood. It's hilarious. The end of the second ep was pretty lulzy too (even though I should have seen it coming).

I don't know how you can "combine" Pee Wee and Batman, but okie dokie. >.> *looks for site* :B What is "too silly" for your mum? o.O

Okay, I now know what she meant by that. I actually watched last week's Grimm last night, so I understand the exploding eyeballs and screaming comment. I really liked it,personally. People are kind of panning it, saying it's one of the worst eps, but I thought it was an interesting creature and twist on Cinderella. (And this show is really flawed; I think there are worse eps) I knew the monster was bat-related from the first scene (due to the screaming), yet I loved its look. Mum said it creeped her out and she's usually not bothered by the monsters on the show. 8D

    4. I usually prefer to watch things on my laptop too with headphones so I can follow every detail. But I just don't have the time because I spend my computer time with other things. If I'm going to watch shows, I have to watch a good chunk outside of the computer. XD I sit on the floor when I give footrubs. :3 (Just say those words really fast. My mom only pays passing interest to Pokemon and likes MLP only somewhat more... Spike and Pinkie Pie kind of won her over, so she doesn't know much about those shows either. Gotherita sounds like a disease and Gentlecolts sounds like what is infected by that disease. 8D )

Yeah, that's exactly what she didn't like. She thought it was too stupid and violent. And I had trouble making sense of it, too, though I found their voices to be funny. XD I think I cracked up at the crazy baby. But I haven't been keeping up with it since the second episode, though I did watch a couple back episodes on demand... I just wasn't finding myself laughing enough of the time and enjoying it.
      :(

There are clips on The Hub's YouTube channel... then you will understand what is too silly. It's deliberately cheap and corny. Remember the inflatable snake I laughed at from Classic Who? Apparently the Aquabats monster budget limits itself to the same technology and budget. XD

That picture is cute, I'll admit. XD But I'm just not a horror fan, so I'm not sure if I'll like the live-action show? I like silliness and comedy and cuteness adventure. 8D

    5. Computers-so distracting! 8D (Aw, you give footrubs? Give one to my mum; she's always complainin')
Ah, it's nice when mums get into (even only slightly) our stupid shows. 8D Especially when you can't watch them on the comp because IT DOESN'T PLAY BLU-RAY. *ahem* She's had to put up with my checking over/watching Supernatural since I can't watch it privately. She seems to like it (when she's awake, that is), but she started with S4, so I get asked lots of questions. ._.; And we butt heads on certain things (like her being in Sam camp and I'm in Dean camp), but that's okay. 8D
      Er...what was I saying?
I wonder how she'd feel about MLP: FiM? She'd probably have this expression the whole time: D:

Eh, honestly, this season of Metalocalypse hasn't really been good, so I don't blame you for not getting into it. I think Small's just getting tired of it. Seasons 1 and 2 are the really funny ones, but if you don't like those, then the show was never really meant for you. >.> I'm just a sadistic, so I love it.

I shall see Aquabats. Soooooooooon. When a job comes up. 8D Corny stuff is the smex.

Give Grimm a try. Its second season is on this Fall. I like it, but it does have problems (many problems; I should do a frickin' review). I'll get the first season's DVD set eventually, but it's not my fave show, or one of my faves. I just like fairy tales and it's gory, so yay.

    6. Yup, I give footrubs to both my parents. And backrubs to my dad (my mom sometimes asks for a backrub, but then accuses me of hurting her. >_> I'm not a sleep number bed, what the heck.) Gotta earn my keep.

You never know... my mom was adamant that MLP was for four-year-old little girls. But now she can tolerate it! She even laughs at it sometimes! Maybe the charm (particularly in the second second) could win over your mom? XD

I'm thinking it wasn't really meant for me since I watched several old episodes and still wasn't as entertained by it (I guess my humor is more dry wit, slaptick, non sequitur, irony, toilet humor, and puns? Profanity and buckets of blood that don't accompany rainbows and laughter aren't really my thing, I guess...)

I'll see what I can do about giving Grim a try! ^^ (I'm a little concerned since our provider is being mean and we might be downgrading. But Grim doesn't sound like it's on a channel that would get chopped from a more basic package, so no problem there. But I'm super worried about Doctor Who. ;_; )
